Testing shape of ball (Class 1)

Students tested the change in the shape of ball by throwing it from different heights. The more the height, the more impact could be seen on the ball.

Play dough (Pre School)

As a part of exploring about new techniques or ways to change shape of a material, learners were given play dough to change shapes by twisting, squashing, rolling and stretching. students were given many examples from the daily life like rolling dough into a ball before makijg chapati,squashing the toothpaste, stretching rubberband or the elastic in your pants, twisting the clothes to take out extra water from them after washing.














Observing Soil (Pre Primary)

 Learners of class Pre primary were taken to the herbal garden to observe soil. Students  explored about the texture of the soil and also observed different things in the soil like earthworm, dry/green fallen leaves and flowers, stones , some fresh small lemons and sticks.

Exploring different materials around us (Pre school)

Learners were given hands on learning about different materials their toys are made from like fabric (pom poms), metal (dog), plastic (shapes) and wood (wooden shapes with holes)

















 

Science Week - Float and sink (Pre Primary )

Students closely observed that heavy things sink down to the the bottom whereas light things float on the surface of water. They also observed how the weight and shape play a major role when it comes to floating and sinking of objects. Few things like paper and cotton they float on the surface for a while and sink after absorbing the water.
