Learners of foundation stage were given animals puzzle kit to enjoy hands learning about animals and their habitats.Students were divided into groups and were given kits to make as many animals as they could by identifying puzzle pieces.This activity helped in recognition,sorting eye hand coordination and problem solving skills.
Learners of class 1 saw the live demonstration kf absorbency of rocks.Different rocks were taken like granite,marble,chalk and slate,A spoon full of water was poured on each to observe.The chalk was the most absorbent followed by slate(absorbed very little amount),granite and marble did not.
Sorting activity was conducted to recapitulate the concept of sources of sound into 3 different groups namely loud, quiet and uses electricity. Learners picked up the flash cards ,identified the source and then classified it in the respective group. This helped them to observe different sources of sound we see or use in our daily life. This activity helped them in fostering their listening skills and critical thinking.
A great way to learn and adapt the value of cleanliness and how important as an individual it is to keep our surrounding clean.Lastly students made tally marks based on the litter count and could easily identify the common litter found in school ground were sweet wrappers.
