Using Dienes blocks to make numbers helps with understanding place value. This hands-on method allows students to physically see and build numbers, reinforcing abstract concepts with concrete objects and leading to a deeper understanding of how digits work together.
Students closely observed that heavy things sink down to the the bottom whereas light things float on the surface of water. They also observed how the weight,material and shape play a major role when it comes to floating and sinking of objects.
