A visit to Marble and Granite shop

Sometimes it's just nice to go out for beautiful natural materials for no other purpose than just to explore;to feel their texture,to be intrigued by their colour & shape,to notice tiny details and wonder about their origins.

Students visited the Marble and Granite shop to draw their attention to the different colourful variety available there.
Firstly they took a round in the entire place where different big pieces of stones were kept then saw the stone cutting process demonatrated by the workers there ,which was further followed by wonderful discussion held by our

Resource Parent :Mrs. Aarti Sharma and    Mr. Manan Sharma

Where they distributed each type of stone that the children have studied about in their books to initiate a discussion on its use, colour and many other things. In the end a very interesting experiment was taken up by the Parents based on the concept of Float and sink, they instructed the Students to put all the stones in a bucket filled with water and asked them to observe which was the only one out the collection seen floating.

Students were mesmerised by the beauty of stones, running them between fingers, looking closely at the colour and noticing the difference in texture.

A very simple exploration but one that definitely inspired wonder.

We had a great time visitng!!
Thank you very much Dear parent for the hospitality!
We definitely look forward for such collaboration, for our Parent Support Programme.
