Today’s field trip to National Rail Museum was not only an educational visit but was mesmerising too. Children got to explore the history of Indian railways.Display of the working models of trains was a real treat for the eyes,Where as the models of locomotives ;steam engines, simulated engines and the real tracks were the real source of first hand knowledge. The much awaited toy train ride through the tunnel and over the bridge was an amazing experience.
Crossing a tunnel has always been fun for kids and makes them apprehensive about the darkness that lies within.To incorporate the concept of light and dark this fun activity was organised for the kids where they had to first cross the tunnel which had some light and then from the dark tunnel.This activity also helped them in suggesting ways that could be used to get some light in the dark tunnel eg: using a torch.
