Republic Day activity - Tri colour boat.

Republic Day (26th of January) is a special day for India, celebrated annually as a National Festival all over India to commemorate and honor the day when the Constitution of India came into force (26 January, 1950) as the governing document of India. To build the better understanding of the National festival,Tri colour boat was made by the kids to mark importance of tri colour.

Flip the clip

This activity was conducted to recapitulate the concept of odd and even.Students were asked to pick up a number and tell whether the number was odd or even and flip it upside down on giving right answer.

Loop the double

Students were given a bowl of chits in which numbers from 1-10 were written and folded whereas on the other side numbers from 1-20 were written and kept open on the floor.Students were called in the pair of two to pick up a chit,open,read the number and quickly tell its double and put a loop on it.It was both fun and challenging for kids.All those who answered within fraction of seconds were given a chocolate star because as per children it smells yumm...yummm...yummnny like a chocoloate.This encourages the child to respond and try.
