Class 1 - Building a circuit

Students were shown the complete circuit along it with components like connectors(wires),battery/cell holder and switch .With the help of an electrical kit they were shown the conncetions to light up the led,how a fan spins around with the motor and role of a switch.

Class 2-Investigating materials

Students of class 2 investigated different materials for different properties like hard,soft,rigid, flexible and elasticity. They were asked individually about the properties of the material they chose.
An interesting way to incoporate the concepy of material properties.

“Healthy Mind Resides in a Healthy Body”

We, at DAVPS Pushpanjali Enclave, Cambridge International, believe in imparting holistic education, inculcating good human values, habits alongside making them global citizens. In the pursuit, we expose our children to state-of-the-art technology, best of the curriculum and extra health care so that the saying- “Healthy mind resides in a healthy body” comes true. Our school organized a Workshop by Colgate on 18 November to tackle the growing menace of screen time in the lives of children by motivating them to adopt an active lifestyle, especially in free time by engaging in fun sports along with Oral Hygiene Program initiated by Colgate to create awareness on oral health and hygiene. It included talk on the importance of Physical Activity and Healthy Lifestyle among children, facts about Oral Health and Hygiene. It also educated students about correct brushing techniques. Overall, it was a fun-filled activity based workshop inculcating in them good brushing skills. During the workshop, students won prizes by performing some activities and answering questions.

Fun with shadows

Students were asked to observe their shadows and see if it follows them, does it look alike or different.It was fun to see them make cute poses eagerly for the shadows.

Students had to depict the series of event through drawing that they undergo on regular basis to reach the topic given.For example if the child had to depict brushing teeth...child would show like get up from bed,wash toothbrush and then apply paste and so on.It was great to see the creativity of the tiny tots.Glimpse of it has been uploaded for you.Kuddos!!
