The story was taken from story weaver- a platform for children which hosts hundreds of stories in languages from all across India and beyond. To make learner's understand the vocabulary words like smooth and rough, They were made to touch and feel different types of fabrics (jute bag,cotton handkerchief,hand towel etc).The hand towels shown were of different textures in some threads were visible and and in some they could only be seen when focused.
Learners of stage 1 sorted objects made up of different materials into groups based on materials like rubber, fabric, wood, metal, plastic,glass and paper.Each child was called individually to pick up an object based on material as mentioned by the teacher.
